A man has been charged with assault and engaging in threatening and abusive behaviour at a leading County Donegal golf club.

The case of Cathal McMonagle was mentioned at Falcarragh District Court.

Mr McMonagle, with an address at Stanford, Connecticut, United States of America, faces two charges.

The 51-year-old is charged with assault at Dunfanaghy Golf Club on August 3rd, 2024.

On the same date he is also accused of engaging in threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour in a public place, also at Dunfanaghy Golf Club.
