Jens Luther wearing two of his 20 Hanna Hats
A Donegal Town headwear business has gained a superfan all the way in Germany.
Hanna Hats of Donegal, a custom headwear and accessory retailer, is very popular with pub owner Jens Luther of Luther’s Pub in the town of Rudolstadt in Thuringia, Germany. He was spotted wearing not one, but two tweed caps during St Patrick’s weekend celebrations in the town, and he confessed to owning 20 Hanna Hats!
A delegation representing Letterkenny is currently in Rudolstadt for the town’s festivities. The two towns have been twinned since 2018.
Letterkenny native Karol Kerrane lives in Rudolstadt and founded the Letterkenny Irish Pub in the town. Through him, the two towns have enjoyed close relations with the official twinning over the years.

The Letterkenny delegation includes local councillors Jimmy Kavanagh, Donal Coyle and Gerry McMonagle, as well as local bands Bellows & Beats and The Soggy Bottom Boys, who are performing over the weekend.
