Coastal flooding is likely during the advisory
A moderate weather warning has been issued for Donegal over Easter weekend.
The warning is valid from Friday, April 3 at 12am midnight until 2am Friday. Met Eireann has warned that it will be unsettled and mixed across all counties.
There is also potential for severe or damaging west to southwest winds on Saturday, with possible stormy conditions.
Coastal flooding is likely with high astronomical tides occurring with storm surge and constant wind increasing the risk.
Strong onshore winds combined with high waves may also lead to flooding in low-lying and exposed coastal areas. The west and north coasts are particularly vulnerable.
Warnings are likely to be issued and a High Tide Advisory will come into effect from Friday to Monday.
