A Garda conducts a speed check
Several motorists in Donegal have been nabbed speeding as part of an Easter clampdown.
The Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit detected two drivers well in excess of the 100km/h speed limit on the dual carriageway.
One driver was closed at 132km/h while another registered 129km/h.
Officers were conducting speed checks as part of the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend Road Safety Campaign.
“They detected a number of drivers exceeding the legal speed limit and fixed charge penalty notices will now issue,” a spokesperson said. “Get to your destination safely this Easter.”
