The group, Aisteoirí an Scioból, performed at the National Drama Festival in Westport last month, where they received awards for their performance
A play titled “Biseach” will be performed in Anagaire as part of the National Drama Festival 2026.
The celebration night will take place at Sciobóil an Phobail (F94 RX00) on Saturday, April 11 at 7pm.
“Biseach”, which translates to recovery, is an Irish-language drama written by Niall Mac Eamharcaigh and directed by Bernard Ó Duibheannaigh. The story focuses on a hospital scenario, delving into the story of a man who was involved in a hit-and-run and his friend plots to scam an insurance company, but it doesn’t all go to plan.
“We are extremely proud of our board member Bernard Hughie Beag Devenney and the actors,” Scioból an Phobail said. “The parish of Annagry is extremely proud of them and we are really looking forward to Saturday night’s play.”
