The family of the late Louise Sheridan from Buncrana has generously donated €1,050 to the ICU Department at Letterkenny University Hospital.

The sum was raised through donations in lieu of flowers in memory of Louise, a much-loved young mother-of-four who passed away a week before Christmas.

Louise (née Deehan), formerly of Lisowen Avenue, was just 42-years-old when she died at Letterkenny University Hospital in December 2025.

She is remembered as a devoted mother to Oran, Ciara, Aimee and Jamie, and a cherished daughter of Vincent and Marie Deehan.

Louise was also a beloved sister to Martina, Bernadette, Donna and Gary, and is sadly missed by her wider family circle and many friends.

Tributes paid to Louise following her passing described her as a warm and kind-hearted young woman who always made time for others.

One message remembered her as having “the warmest smile,” while another described her as “the kindest, most friendly person you could meet.”

Speaking at her Requiem Mass at Cockhill Chapel on December 20th last, Fr Francis Bradley told mourners how Louise had always put others before herself. He said she had a good-hearted approach to everyone and a magnetism which drew people into her circle of life and love.

Cockhill Celtic FC also expressed sympathy, highlighting her constant support at her children’s games, while extending condolences to her family and friends.

The money generously donated in Louise’s memory will now be used to help others in need.
