The 5K takes place at 7pm on Thursday 16 April
A fundraising 5K run and walk to support special education will take place in Buncrana this week with organisers hoping for a strong local turnout.
Scoil Mhuire will host a 5km Walk and Run on Thursday, April 16th, in collaboration with Inishowen Athletics. The event is being organised as a fundraiser for the school’s special classes, with all proceeds going towards enhancing resources and supports for students.
Registration opens at 5.30pm, with the event getting underway at 7pm. Participants of all ages and abilities are encouraged to take part, whether walking or running the 5km route.
Entry costs are set at €10 for adults, €5 for under-18s, and €20 for a family. Registrations are available on the Eventbrite website, or at the school on the night.
Following the walk and run, participants are invited back to the school for presentations and refreshments, adding a social element to what organisers hope will be both a successful fundraiser and an enjoyable evening for all involved.
