Donegal County Council approved the application for planning permission with four conditions, including a condition imposed regarding holiday homes in order to define and to comply with the provisions of the County Donegal Development Plan, 2024-2030.
The condition stated that the residential units “shall be used as permanent homes only and shall not be used for the purposes of a holiday home or for short-term letting purposes,” and that “such (holiday home) use to be commenced only if authorised by a separate grant of permission.”
