Members of the public wishing to attend the funeral of Moya Brennan on Friday are asked to avail of a shuttle bus that will be in operation.
The iconic west Donegal singer passed away on Monday night at home in Upper Dore following a short illness at the age of 73.
‘The First Lady of Celtic Music’ will be laid to rest in Donegal on Friday.
The funeral Mass of the lead singer of Clannad will be held at 2pm on Friday, April 17, in St Patrick’s Church, Meenaweal, Crolly, with interment afterwards in Magheragallon Cemetery.
A shuttle bus will run between Ionad Naomh Padraig (F92 EH6N) and Teach Paidi Oig (F92 PK22) to St Patrick’s Church, Meenaweel for the funeral Mass.
The service will operate from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.
“People are kindly asked to use the shuttle bus where possible to help avoid congestion at the chapel,” a notice from Kieran Roarty Funeral Director says.
“After the Mass, the buss will return passengers to their cars.
Moya was predeceased by her father Leo Brennan, brother Leon Brennan, uncles Noel & Padraig Duggan and aunt Bríd Duggan.

Moya’s death is deeply regretted and she will be sadly missed by her loving husband Tim Jarvis, daughter Aisling (Kayleigh), son Paul (Lara), granddaughter Eden, mother Máire (Baba) Brennan, sisters Deirdre, Enya, Olive and Brídín, brothers Ciarán, Pól and Bartley and her extended family and many friends.
Her death notice has confirmed that donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Donegal Cancer Flights and Services, care of any family member or Kieran Roarty Funeral Director.
