The man appeared before Letterkenny District Court
A Dublin man accused of money laundering in County Donegal has been sent forward to stand trial.
Christopher Finnegan will now go before Letterkenny Circuit Court.
The 39-year-old, of Glenshane Place, Tallaght, appeared before Letterkenny District Court.
Garda Sergeant Jim Collins gave evidence of serving a book of evidence on Finnegan.
Sergeant Collins informed the court that the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has consented for the accused to be sent forward to the next sitting of Letterkenny Circuit Court.
Finnegan is charged with engaging in conferring, transferring, handling, acquiring, using property that was in the proceeds of criminal conduct to wit €2,999. The charge is contrary to the Money Laundering and Financing Act and relates to February 7, 2022 at AIB Bank, Upper Main Street, Letterkenny.
Judge Emile Daly made an order returning Finnegan for trial. The accused man was also given the alibi warning.
Solicitor Mr Patsy Gallagher was granted legal aid and one counsel was assigned in the matter.
