Clr Martin Harley, Cathaoirleach, Lifford/Stranorlar MD, officially opened the recently completed Drumboe Walkway, Stranorlar.

This walkway restores the traditional link between Drumboe Lower and Drumboe Woods, which has been closed for some time.
The works on the walkway were funded through the Minor Tourism Works Grant Scheme and Donegal County Council’s own resources.

The Community Development Division of the Council would like to acknowledge the support and co-operation of Donegal ETB and Coillte in getting the project to completion. Coillte engaged the services of North West Forest Services, Knock, Ballybofey to carry out some tree surgery works on their land, while the Council engaged the services of H. Harkin Plant Hire Ltd., Carick, Derrybeg, to carry out the site clearance and surfacing works on the walkway.

Opening the path, Clr Harley expressed his delight at the project's completion and said: "This path would be an asset to local residents and the entire community."
