Inish Theatre Group has confirmed that a long-awaited and significant meeting regarding the ongoing situation at Buncrana Community Hospital is taking place today, Monday, April 20, at 2.30pm.

The meeting will take place in the Buncrana Primary Care Centre with HSE representative Dermot Monaghan. Local councillors are also expected to attend.

A strong and dedicated group of women representing Inish Theatre Group and local families will be present to ensure that the voices, concerns, and needs of the Buncrana community are clearly heard.

The group emphasised that this meeting represents a vital opportunity to seek answers and advocate for the protection and care of the town’s most vulnerable and elderly residents.

Representatives Maureen, Tracey, Elizabeth Ann, and Sharon stated that securing this meeting is a direct result of the community’s united efforts and strong turnout at recent protests.

“Inish Theatre Group remains fully committed to standing up for our community, as we have done from the very beginning. This meeting has only been secured because of the strength and support of the people of Buncrana – our voices have finally been heard,” the group said.

They also confirmed that a full, honest, and transparent update will be provided to the public immediately following the meeting.
