Man attacked twice by a group and hospitalised with ‘serious’ injuries in Donegal

The man was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital to receive treatment for non-life threatening injuries

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to an assault which left a man with serious injuries in Donegal.

The incidents occurred on Main Street, Buncrana, between 12:30am and 2:45am Sunday, April 5. The first incident, involving a group of men, left a man with injuries.

Then, the same men are believed to have been involved in a second altercation, and the previously injured man sustained further injuries.

“He attended the hospital to receive medical treatment for serious but non-life-threatening injuries,” a Garda spokesperson said. “We appeal to anyone who may have witnessed either of these two incidents to get in touch with Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540. If anyone travelled along Main Street, Buncrana, around those times with a dash-cam, we ask them to make the footage available to Gardaí.”
