Uisce Éireann is responsible for delivering public drinking water and wastewater services for the people of Ireland
Lifford’s water supply has received a boost following the completion of a 1km water mains replacement project
The Uisce Éireann project was carried out by Farrans Construction along the N15 at The Haw.
This work has delivered a significant reduction in leakage and improved water quality for homes and businesses in the Lifford area. The project also involved the installation of new water service connections from the public water main to customer boundaries, further strengthening the supply in the area.
“Replacing this stretch of water mains along the N15 at The Haw has delivered long-term benefits for our customers, including improved water quality and greater confidence in their supply,” Uisce Éireann’s Programme Manager, Patricia Lowry, said. “Our crews worked hard to minimise disruption, and we are grateful to the local community for their patience and support as we delivered these essential works.”
