We all passed the various lockdowns in different ways - some more productivity than others.

Take Milford native Barry McNulty for example, who used the opportunity to take up a hobby he had always intended to - photography. He is available on barrymacca85@gmail.com

“I wanted to get into photography for quite a while and after the cabin fever, I decided that is the time to get out more and take some photos,” he says.

“To motivate myself, I decided to do the #365dayphotochallenge and post a picture every single day for a year - knowing me I thought I’d given up in a month but I’m still at it!

“There's some serious photographers and locations in Donegal, which gave me plenty of inspiration to relish the challenge. Deirdre Friel of Donegal Heritage Trails has been such a great help.

I mainly used the drone and my phone might not be epic, so I will let others decide on whether there was improvement or not.”

Barry’s photos mapped Donegal and farther afield and this is the first installment of his series of photographs, taken over the last year.
