It's hard to believe there is something this impressive in Donegal being left in ruins. Its definitely worth a visit but be warned it seems like its hosted a fair few parties with a lot of cans and bottles lying around. It was built in the 1630s and was involved in battles during the rebellions of 1641 and 1798 before being destroyed by an accidental fire in 1838
