ESB crews working to repair latest fault on a day of inclement weather

Over 3,000 homes and businesses without power in Milford area

Over 3,000 ESB customers are without power in the Milford area  this evening due to a fault.

ESB say the fault at Milford North was reported shortly after 6pm this evening and it is estimated that it will be repaired by 9.45pm tonight.

On a day of inclement weather brought about by Storm Eunice, the outage is the latest to hit homes and businesses around Donegal.

Earlier today up to 6,000 customers were without power for a time in West Donegal.

There were also outages in the Twin Towns, Falcarragh and Kilcar.

ESB crews are this evening working to repair the fault in Milford which has left 3,060 customers without power. ESB apologises for the loss of supply.

A status yellow snow and ice warning for Ireland is in place until 10am on Saturday.
