Woman seriously injured following Raphoe accident

Investigations are ongoing into the cause of a serious accident in Raphoe yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon around 2.30pm in which a woman was seriously injured.

According to a garda spokesman one car collided with a second vehicle which struck a pedestrian at Guesthouse End Street. The area was cordoned off as a result.

"The female pedestrian who is in her 50s was removed from the scene to Letterkenny University Hospital in a serious condition and our investigations are ongoing," he said.
