Animals in Need is located at Lower Main Street in Letterkenny
The volunteers who run the Animals in Need have said they have regrettably taken the decision to close their charity shop in Letterkenny.
Animals in Need Donegal is a completely voluntary organisation, whose aim is to alleviate the suffering of domestic pets who are abandoned or injured. The Letterkenny branch has been open for six years, since it was taken over following the closure of Pet Rescue.
“Sadly, due to the high running costs and current financial climate, we have had to make the sad decision to close our Letterkenny charity shop,” read a company statement this evening.
“The shop will close its doors permanently on March 25 and we are unable to accept any more donations for sale with immediate effect. From now until then we will be having an everything must go sale - everything at a minimum half price, so come along, grab a bargain and show your support one last time.
“We would like to thank all our volunteers and customers over the years as you have all been part of raising funds to save many animals. We will, of course, remain open and continue to rescue and support animals across County Donegal. Our Donegal Town shop will continue as normal.
“We will have a new drop off point in Letterkenny for anyone looking to donate food, toys etc to the animals.”
The shop is located at Lower Main Street in Letterkenny and its opening times are Tuesday to Friday, from 11-4pm.
