Donegal Town will honour frontline medical staff this St Patrick's Day
Frontline medical staff will be very much to the fore as Donegal Town uses the opportunity of the St Patrick's Day parade to honour the unsung heroes of the Covid-19 crisis.
All frontline medical staff who are free to do so are encouraged to take part in the parade as collective grand marshalls on behalf of themselves and their professions.
Jonathan Kennedy from the organising committee said: "We really to want to pay tribute to the Trojan and selfless work carried out by all our health care professionals, front line HSE workers and medical staff.
"They have worked under severe challenges and pressure during this tough two years of the covid pandemic, meeting each day like a tidal wave, armed with resilience, care and dedication. Thank you."
Donegal Town Parade Committee invite our frontline healthcare providers, nurses, doctors, HSE staff, Paramedics and Ambulance crew to be Grand Marshalls of this year’s St Patrick’s Day Parade.
Mr Kennedy said: "We would be greatly honoured and humbled by your participation in this year’s very special 2022 parade.
"We would ask all medical care workers taking part in the parade to congregate at the St John Bosco Centre between 2pm and 2.30pm in full uniform."
