The boat that was discovered just below Lifford bridge
An ancient wooden boat has been discovered just below Lifford bridge.
Members of the local Strabane Lifford Anglers Association are excited about the find saying you just don't know what you might find along the river these days.
They had a man up from Tipperary to do a survey on it. He thinks it might have originated from the 1600s
"He's gonna get back to the club soon as he gets his samples tested and gets the information right on it. You never know what you could find along the river banks, " said a club spokesman.
