Drivers in south Donegal found breaking N15 speed limit

One driver was found travelling at 141km/h on the N15 on Sunday

Gardaí in south Donegal have detected a number of vehicles travelling over the 100km/h speed limit on the N15.

One driver was found travelling at 141km/h while others were detected at 136km/h and 134km/h.

The detections were made by the Donegal Town roads policing unit on Sunday.

Fixed charge penalty notices, each with an €80 fine and three penalty points, were issued to the drivers.

A Garda spokesperson said: “A poor decision in relation to road safety could have life-altering consequences for you as a driver or for others. Please do not put lives at risk. Slow down. It won't kill you to be a little late.”
