Muckish mountain
Donegal Mountain Rescue Team has been called into action this afternoon.
It was tasked by An Garda Síochána at 3.45pm to assist two walkers who had become lost on steep ground on Muckish mountain.
One had also sustained a lower leg injury.
Team members were able to determine the walkers' location, make their way to them, and safely take them back to their vehicle.
The walk back to the vehicles was over steep and difficult terrain and required ropes at one point. The team was stood down and returned to base at 10.05pm.
