Party in the Park returns on June 24
The legendary Party in the Park event for young people is back to celebrate its 16th year at the end of this month.
The Donegal Youth Service, Our Generation Project, is organising the popular annual event which will feature a host of exciting talent in Letterkenny Town Park on Friday, June 24.
After a two-year hiatus, this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever and will run from 12 noon until 6pm on the day.
There will be something for all ages including live music from up-and-coming young bands and individual singer-songwriters, an art tent, festival face painting, clowns, circus skills, games hosted by In Your Space, Belfast’s TAMHI project, intercultural dance performances and so much more.
This year, Party in the Park will boast live acts to suit all tastes from newcomers, The Ephades, to Ryan Cunningham, with appearances from Joel Harkin, Boy M5, Donegal’s Neptune M, and headliners and rising stars, Cherym from Derry!
The event has been an invaluable platform that has showcased promising young talent through the years. Famous bands and performers who now have successful recording contracts started out at the Party in the Park including members of Fontaines DC, The Murder Capital, In Their Thousands, Phat Kidz, Eve Belle, and many more!
The organisers welcome all young people and their families and loved ones to come along and celebrate together.
As always, entry to Party in the Park as is financed by the European Union Peace IV fund.
It will also be a non-alcoholic and drug-free event, say the organisers.
