Carnaween mountain in the Bluestacks
The annual first Sunday June gathering to Carnaween mountain will be setting off from the Glen Tavern, Glenties at 12.30pm tomorrow, Sunday, July 5.
Locals from the parish of Inver, Inniskeel and Killymard have met on Carnaween in the Bluestacks for generations where stories are told, tunes are played and matches are made!
On return to the Glen of Glenties this will be followed by a session at the Glen Tavern where musicians, singers and dancers are all welcome to join Peter Campbell, Tara Conaghan, Ronan Galvin, Denise Boyle, Sinead Kennedy, Michelle McGeehan, Paddy McMenamin, Paddy Cummins, Noel Burke, Fiona and Marion Gavin, Deby Ricklin, Chris Cornwall, Paddy Toye and dancers Eileen and Frank Sweeney and others in a traditional celebration.
The event is sponsored by Donegal Local Live Performance Support Scheme.
