A Donegal web and graphic design company has taken away the award for best website at the annual Irish Digital Media Awards.
Letterkenny-based creative agency Manna, headed up by Castlefinn native Tommy Callaghan, was announced as the winner for its work on An Grianán Theatre’s new website.
Mr Callaghan, who graduated from Letterkenny Institute of Technology before completing his studies at the Institute of Art Design and Technology (IADT) in Dun Laoghaire, said he was very proud to bring the national award back to Donegal, “especially so when the winning website is for a Donegal-based business”.
“As a one-man team, I’m humbled for Manna to be mentioned in the same breath as some of these internationally-respected agencies and to win the gold medal is truly a special reward for me, both personally and professionally.”
Manna was also a finalist at the award ceremony in the Convention Centre at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel in Dublin in the same category for a second website, Retail Ireland Skillet, and beat strong competition to collect the top prize.
In recent years the company has collected a number of awards and nominations and was a winner at the Digital Business Ireland Permanent TSB Awards in 2020 and 2021.
Manna provides creative design and digital strategy for a number of companies and organisations including Donegal County Council, Donegal ETB, Highland Radio, Alcohol Forum Ireland and Retail Ireland Skillnet.
Now in their 19th year, the Digital Media Awards are the most prestigious digital awards in Ireland and recognise creativity and innovation across multiple areas including digital content creation, advertising and marketing, mobile media, social networking, app development, web design and development.
