Power cuts affect Donegal customers

A power cut affecting around 900 premises has hit Donegal Town, leaving the town centre in darkness.

With streetlights not working, the town is very dark and there have already been a number of near misses with pedestrians and cars due to poor visibility.

People are asked to be extra careful.

ESB Networks crews are working to restore power, with the time for restoration of supply estimated to be 9.15pm.

The ESB reminds customers that fallen electricity wires are live and dangerous, and they should never be approached or touched. Anyone who sees damaged wires is advised to contact ESB Networks on 1800 372 999 (+353 21 2382410), 999 or 112.
