On Wednesday last, three very much loved and valued members of the Magh Ene College staff in Bundoran retired.
They were school administrator Teresa Ruane, Head of the SEN Department Mary Patton and SNA Tina McHugh.
Between them, the three ladies have given over sixty years to serving the school community, and always did so with such great care and dedication.
College Principal Pat Tighe said:
"It is hard to express in words our sincerest gratitude for all that they have done for students and staff alike down through the years. All three were so generous with their time with everyone. Teresa, Mary, and Tina are not just colleagues but friends to us all."
A student cohort, led by our Head Boy Eoghan Gallagher and Head Girl Kiara Howley, made an emotional presentation to the three ladies, in appreciation of all their hard work and especially their kindness towards all our students.
"We wish Teresa, Mary and Tina and their families every happiness and good health as they embark on the next chapter in their lives.

"Their friendly faces and cheery dispositions will be missed around the College by students, parents, staff, management, and the entire school community alike.
"It is safe to say that Teresa, Mary, and Tina will always be members of the Magh Éne College family, Principal Tighe said.
A small presentations were also made the three retirees on behalf of the Magh Ene Parents Association.
A spokesperson said that parents, students and teachers had been exceptionally blessed with three wonderful staff and that their presence in the school over the years had been a warming, caring and nurturing addition to the school and its ethos. All were wished well in the next chapter of their lives.
