The Bridge in Dunfanaghy, the home of St Michael's GAA club
St Michael’s raised over €4,000 for the Creeslough fund from their charity football match on St Stephen’s Day.
The match took place at the Bridge in Dunfanaghy between the current St Michael's team and the side who were Ulster IFC winners back in 2003, which players Michael Langan and Jamie Hunter helped arrange. A raffle followed in Rose’s Bar in Creeslough.
“We would like to say a big thanks to everyone who kindly donated and helped out on the day,” read a statement from the GAA club. “We would like to thank all the businesses who kindly donated prizes for our raffle.

“Everybody enjoyed the day and it was great to see some old faces put back on the red and white again. A total sum of €4,008 was raised on Boxing Day at the Charity Game at the Bridge. All proceeds will now be donated to the Creeslough fund.”
St Michael's won the Community Engagement Award at the Ulster GAA awards in November for their response to the Creeslough Tragedy, when 10 people tragically lost their lives following an explosion at the local service station.
