William Hill Championship leaders Falkirk were held to a 1-1 draw at Partick Thistle.
The Bairns had made a bright start, with Aidan Nesbitt firing just wide before Liam Henderson’s header from a corner hit the top of the crossbar and Dylan Tait’s 20-yard effort was saved.
Falkirk eventually broke the deadlock just before the hour when midfielder Ethan Ross raced onto a pass from Nesbitt to slot past Myles Roberts.
Partick, though, were swiftly back on level terms in the 61st minute as Brian Graham drilled the ball into the bottom corner from just outside the penalty area.
Falkirk striker Gary Oliver saw his header saved at point-blank range by Roberts and a late effort from defender Keelan Adams clipped the post as the visitors had to settle for a draw, which left them two points clear of Ayr.
