Who could replace Vitor Pereira in the Wolves hotseat?

Wolves are looking for a new manager to save their season after sacking Vitor Pereira on Sunday.

They have history of making left-field selections – few had heard of Pereira before his appointment – but there are some big names available.

Here, the PA news agency takes a look at who could go into the Molineux hotseat.

Brendan Rodgers

It might seem unlikely for the Northern Irishman to step into a club that is heading for the Championship, but Rodgers might want to get straight back into work following his recent exit from Celtic.

He saved Leicester from relegation before turning them into perennial top-six challengers and might fancy doing the same at Molineux.

Erik Ten Hag

Ten Hag is out of work following his ruthless exit from Bayer Leverkusen after just one game of the season.

The Dutchman has unfinished business in the Premier League following his spell at Manchester United, which brought two trophies.

Kevin Muscat

The former midfielder played over 200 times for Wolves between 1997 and 2002 and would be a favourite among the fans.

After building a reputation in Asia, he recently turned down the chance to manage Rangers after advanced talks, but an emotional return to Molineux might be too hard to turn down.

Sergio Conceicao

With super agent Jorge Mendes pulling the strings at Molineux, it might not be wise to look too far past a Portuguese manager and Sergio Conceicao could fit the bill.

The former Porto and AC Milan boss is just weeks into a new job at Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad but he might find a crack at the Premier League too hard to turn down.
