Kieran Green doubled the advantage six minutes later with a deft chip for his fourth goal of the season.
Barrow keeper Wyll Stanway kept out a powerful Charles Vernam effort before Rakeem Harper halved the deficit after 44 minutes when Pym should have done better.
After the break, Pym kept out Harper’s header as Barrow pushed for a leveller.
Visiting skipper Rose nodded agonisingly wide from Green’s cross just with the goal gaping.
Charles McCann’s shot burst through Pym’s hands to draw the hosts level after 74 minutes.
The home side’s Josh Gordon fired wide in the closing stages as both sides settled for a draw.
