League Two Stranraer overcame a floodlight failure to beat second-tier strugglers Queen’s Park 6-5 on penalties and book a Scottish Cup fifth-round meeting with Rangers.
The Championship side led after 11 minutes through Aidan Connolly but the hosts hit back after a 30-minute stoppage early in the second half at Stair Park after the lights went out.
Dom Plank levelled just after the hour mark for Stranraer and with the two teams level at 1-1 after 90 and then 120 minutes, the tie was decided by a penalty shoot-out.
Each team scored their first five spot-kicks, but with Queen’s Park’s sixth effort Carlo Pignatiello was denied by Lyndon Tas and Lewis Hunter then made no mistake to send the minnows to Ibrox.
Inverness moved back to the top of Scottish League One with a 2-0 win at East Fife.
Caley Thistle had gone three league games without a win to fall three points behind Stenhousemuir.
But they climbed back to the summit on goal difference as Alfie Stewart’s 70th-minute strike and a stoppage-time effort from Alfie Bavidge saw off an East Fife side who have now failed to score in four straight league defeats.
Alloa returned to winning ways in style as they thumped Montrose 4-1 to strengthen their grip on a play-off spot.
Josh Gentles’ 20th-minute opener was added to by Charlie Dewar before half-time.
Dewar added his second of the contest five minutes after the interval and Luke Donnelly made it 4-0 six minutes later.
Graham Webster’s 84th-minute consolation could not dampen the mood as Alloa ended a four-match winless run in the league.
