Gardaí appeal for witnesses to come forward
Gardaí and emergency services rushed to the scene of a hit-and-run incident where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.
The incident, involving a car and a pedestrian, occurred at the North Ring Road at the junction of Dunnes Stores and Apple Green in Cork City at approximately 7.05am.
The driver of the car fled the scene after hitting a woman with their vehicle.
The pedestrian was a woman in her 30’s who was conveyed to Cork University Hospital for treatment "of injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at this time."

The scene is currently preserved for technical examination, gardaí have said.
Investigations are ongoing and Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and who were travelling in the area between 6.40am and 7.10am this morning, Monday 20th January 2025, are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
