Wet and windy weekend ahead with Met Éireann forecasting 'unsettled' weather
Met Éireann has forecast a wet and windy weekend of "unsettled" weather for Ireland.
Temperatures will drop to as low as 1 degree tonight with widespread rain expected.
Saturday will start off mainly dry with any fog slowly clearing to allow for sunny spells and a few scattered showers.
The afternoon will grow cloudy with patches of rain and drizzle developing in the west and southwest.
It will be that little bit warmer with highest temperatures of seven to 11 degrees.

Saturday night will become "wet and blustery" with widespread outbreaks of rain, which will be heavy in place.
Temperatures will drop to as low as two to seven degrees.
Sunday will be wet and windy as well with "strong and gusty" winds.
Munster will be a bit drier with a mix of showers and sunny spells.
Daytime temperatures will be be between six and ten degrees.
Rain will gradually move south on Sunday night with showers and clear spells following by morning.
Lowest temperatures of three to six degrees with winds decreasing as the night goes on.
