Andre Fabre is considering the Dubai Sheema Classic for Sosie after his Hong Kong Vase heroics.
With the exception of his disappointing performance in the Eclipse, the four-year-old has a solid record, finishing fourth and third in the last two renewals of the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
His Hong Kong win was his fourth at the highest level and, barring Sandown, came on the quickest ground he has encountered.
With that in mind, further international targets are open to the son of Sea The Stars, who is owned by the Wertheimer brothers.
“It was a very good performance from a very nice horse,” said Fabre.
“I’ve won the race a few times and first of all to think of going you need a very good horse. But you know the conditions are going to be perfect and that always suits the good ones.
“Sosie is a horse who prefers good ground, his form tells you that. I thought he always looked in control of the race.
“Dubai is definitely an option for him, not for the Carnival but he may go for the Sheema Classic on World Cup night and he will stay in training at five.”
