Shaun Patton has returned to the Donegal team for this afternoon's Allianz League opener against Kerry.
The St Eunan's man wears the number one shirt as Donegal, now under Paddy Carr's management, host the All-Ireland champions.
Patton missed the Dr McKenna Cup campaign due to a leg injury, but returns to give Carr and the Donegal support a boost.
Gavin Mulreany had been named to start, but Patton is in from the off - the switch only confirmed minutes before throw-in.
Carr had expressed confidence over a return for the Letterkenny native, saying earlier this month: “Shaun should be back in contention for Kerry. Of course I have to ultimately rely on the advice of the medical team but Shaun is in a very good place right now.”
Martin O'Reilly also takes his place in the Donegal XV, replacing Jamie Grant.
Donegal: Shaun Patton; Mark Curran, Brendan McCole, Caolan Ward; Caolan McColgan, Stephen McMenamin, Martin O'Reilly; Caolan McGonagle, Jason McGee; Johnny McGroddy, Daire O Baoill, Conor O'Donnell; Hugh McFadden, Patrick McBrearty, Jamie Brennan.
