Gemma McGuinness has moved to Galway United for the 2023 Women's National League season.

The Greencastle woman played for WNL newcomers Sligo Rovers in 2022.

McGuinness netted seven goals in 25 appearances for Sligo.

The attacker has been capped by the Republic of Ireland at under-17 and under-19 levels.

In 2019, while at Derry City, McGuinness earned a cap for the Northern Ireland senior team, playing in a 2-1 win over Uzbekistan.

McGuinnss played for Derry in 2019 before spending two years working in Vietnam.
