Carndonagh up and running with big win over Naomh Colmcile

Carndonagh got their new season in Division 3 of the All-County League off to a flying start with a big league win over Naomh Colmcille in Pairc O’ Dochartaigh, on Sunday afternoon.

Carndonagh 3-18 Naomh Colmcille 1-5

Cian and Fergal Doherty and Cian Burke scored the goals that paved the way for the 19 point victory.
The locals were well on the way to victory as they led 1-7 to 0-3 at half-time. Stephen Gallagher did score a goal for Naomh Colmcille in the second half but there was no stopping the locals.
It was a perfect start to the new season for last year’s beaten junior championship finalists.

Carndonagh scorers: Cian Doherty, Fergal Doherty, 1-4 each, Cian Burke 1-1 Anthony Doherty 0-4, Olan McLaughlin 0-2, Cathal Doherty, Eoghan Kelly, Michael Noone, 0-1 each.
Naomh Colmcille scorers: Hugh O’Donnell 1-0, Stephen Gallagher 0-3, Ciaran Kennedy 0-2.
