Donegal County Council has been urged to erect signs to remind dog owners to keep their dogs under control in Swan Park
Dog owners in Buncrana have been urged to keep their dogs on leads in the town’s Sawn Park.
Cllr Rena Donaghey has called for signs to be erected to urge dog owners to keep their pets under control.
Speaking at the April meeting of the Inishowen Municipal District, the Fianna Fáil councillor said one local she knows of who lives close to the park has not entered it since it was reopened following a major restoration “because the dogs are running wild and running loose”.
“If we could please get a sign asking people to keep dogs on a leash. It’s not a big ask,” she said.
