Penalty points for two sunshine speedsters in Donegal

Two sunshine speedsters were nabbed in Donegal on Wednesday – and will receive penalty points for their trouble.

Gardai from the Buncrana Roads Policing Unit clocked the speeding drivers on the N13 near Burt.

One driver was caught driving at 154km/h with the other recording a speed of 152km/h.

The road in question is governed by a 100km/h speed limit.

Gardai have confirmed that the two drivers will now will receive a fixed charge penalty notice fine of €160 and three penalty points.

A Garda spokesperson has appealed for drivers to slow down this Bank Holiday weekend.
