October is breast cancer awareness month
A coffee morning in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month is being held at Carndonagh Boxing Club on Friday, October 6.
The event, which takes place from 10 am to 2pm, is part of a fundraising campaign being run locally for breast cancer awareness, Friends of Inishowen Hospice and the Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital.
Raffle tickets are being sold for a range of prizes that have been donated by local businesses. The tickets will be sold during the coffee morning and at Costcutters, Carndonagh on Friday, October 13 from 10am to 4pm, with one line for €2 or three for €5.
October is breast cancer awareness month. In Ireland one in seven women will develop breast cancer during their lifetime. Breast cancer is more common in women over the age of 50, however, women and men of any age can develop breast cancer.
