Niamh McLaughlin kicked her first goal in the colours of the Gold Coast Suns on Sunday afternoon.

With her side making a slow start and 12-1 down, the Moville native, who is the current Donegal LFGA captain and Players' Player of the Year, opened her account for the 2023 season. Watch her goal below:

A Tara Bohanna behind on the final siren has handed Gold Coast a huge victory by a solitary point over Richmond on Sunday afternoon. Not even a late Richmond surge and goal from Shannon Danckert could get the home side the premiership points, with Gold Coast claiming the win 5.6 (36) to 5.5. (35) at Ikon Park.

Gold Coast Suns have 16 points from 24 available, having won four of their six outings to date. Glenfin's Yvonne Bonner's Adelaide Crows ended the unbeaten run of champs Melbourne Demons to go six from six this term and Tanya Kennedy's Sydney Swans team are three from six having won 45-30 against Port Adelaide on Saturday.
