Gardaí appeal following car registration plate theft

A resident of Glentogher, Carndonagh recently experienced the theft of both registration plates from their car. 

The car in question was parked in a yard and it had been off the road for some time. The plates with the partial registration 08 DL 126 were stolen between February 12 and 14. 

“If anybody observed any suspicious activity in the Glentogher area we ask them to contact Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540,” Garda Shaun Sweeney said. 

“Should anybody ever have their registration plates stolen we advise them to alert gardaí immediately as these plates could later be used in an illegal capacity. We urge the public to always report any type of suspicious activity to Gardaí immediately.”
