St Mary's Convoy and Buncrana lose Ulster league finals

St Mary's Convoy lost their Ulster Junior League final by one point at the weekend while Buncrana also fell at the final hurdle in the Intermediate decider

Duffy: ‘We injected a good performance into our own gameplan’

Buncrana manager Gary Duffy will hope his side can bounce back from their defeat at the weekend

St Mary's Convoy and Buncrana were unfortunate to finish their respective Ulster league campaigns without any silverware with both sides falling at the final hurdles.

Buncrana faced Magheracloone Mitchells on Sunday in the Ulster Intermediate Club league final, losing to the Monaghan side on a scoreline of 3-11 to 0-7 points.

While St Mary's Convoy lost to another Monaghan side, with Toome GAA beating the Donegal side by one point in the Ulster Junior Club league final on a scoreline of 1-10 to 1-9.

Both sides are now looking to recover for their Donegal league campaigns this weekend with St Mary's Convoy away to Burt in Division 3, while Buncrana hosts St Naul's in Division 2. Both games are on Saturday.
