Republic of Ireland player Amber Barrett is named in the recent squad
Amber Barrett and Tyler Toland have secured their positions in the Republic of Ireland Women’s squad for their upcoming qualifying matches.
The journey towards securing a spot in the 2025 UEFA Women’s European Championships commences this month for the Republic of Ireland. They are set to face off against France and England, with an away match against France in Metz scheduled for Friday, April 5, followed by a home game against England at the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday, April 9.
Head Coach Eileen Gleeson has carefully curated a squad of 26 players for these crucial opening fixtures in Group A3, aiming to start their campaign on a strong note.
Midfielder Tyler Toland makes a comeback to the squad after being absent for two International Friendly games against Italy and Wales in February. Meanwhile, Amber Barrett maintains her place in the squad, ready to contribute to the team's success.
The clash with France marks the beginning of Ireland's pursuit, with England's visit to Dublin promising an intense encounter, marking the teams' first official meeting in 37 years. Tickets for the England game are already in high demand, with over 20,000 sold.
