Gary Duffy’s Buncrana grabbed their first league win of 2024 after putting six goals past a Termon side that never got off the mark this afternoon at the Burn Road.

Buncrana made full use of the strong wind in the first half and in the opening minutes punished the hosts with two quick goals from John Campbell and Sean McLaughlin.

The versatile McLaughlin would score his second and Buncrana's third on 22 minutes as Termon struggled under the high balls and blowing conditions.

Termon failed to register a point in the opening half with the Inishowen side leading by 13 points at the break on a scoreline of 3-4 to no score.

McLaughlin may have been the star man in the first 30 minutes but there is no doubting young corner-forward Dylan Mullholland was the standout performer in the latter half, bagging himself a hat-trick.

As Termon pushed forward looking to chip into the deficit, Mullholland's first goal, 12 minutes into the second half, all but ended any hope the Burn Road side had in getting back into the game.

Mullholland was assisted by John Campbell and Oisin Crawford in his other two strikes. Buncrana could have had 7 goals only for a brilliant save by Thomas Cannon from a Campbell effort.
