Water supply to parts of south Inishowen hit by ‘significant burst’

Work on the burst is scheduled to take place until 4pm this Friday afternoon

Water supply to parts of south Inishowen has been affected by a burst water main.

Uisce Éireann says repairs to the burst water main may cause supply disruptions to Lenamore, Dundrean, Muff Road and surrounding areas.

The utility said that work on the burst is scheduled to take place until 4pm this Friday afternoon. A traffic management plan is in place for the duration of the work. Anyone affected by the supply disruption is asked to allow up to three hours after the estimated restoration time for the supply to fully return.

Local councillor Jack Murray posted that he was aware “of a significant burst” in south Inishowen.

Water supply is currently off while it's being repaired. Estimated time for the return of service is 4pm,” he said.
