Urris 1-5
St Mary’s, Convoy 3-5
St Mary’s, Convoy made it six wins from six games in Division 3 with an away victory over Urris on Sunday afternoon to maintain their push for promotion.
Gavin Browne from the penalty spot in the first half and Jamie Lee Bogan and Johnny Toye in the second scored the St Mary’s goals.
Shane Caul scored the Urris goal and Conor Bradley, Jonathan McDaid and Matthew Brennan hit the points for the Alan Friel’s locals.
The first half was closely contested with the sides level 0-4 to 1-1 at half-time.
St Mary’s got the second half off to a dream start with a well-worked goal finished to the net by Bogan.
St Mary’s were now five up, 2-3 to 0-4, but Urris refused to buckle and when Shane McCaul hit the back of the Convoy net with a peach of a goal the margin was down to two points.
And it took a late Toye goal and a point from Browne to seal the win and another two precious points in the pursuit of promotion.
