The Lough Swilly lifeboat was dispatched to the scene
Three people were rescued near Fahan on Monday night after their yacht encountered difficulty.
The Lough Swilly RNLI was tasked by the Malin Head Coastguard to assist at around 9.22pm.
A yacht, with three people on board, got into difficulty near the Fahan marina.
The inshore Lifeboat was launched at Ned's Point and a volunteer crew quickly made their way to the yacht.
The three on board the yacht were taken to safety and the yacht was recovered on Tuesday afternoon.
A spokesperson said: “Remember if you see someone in difficulty in or on the water, dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coast Guard.”
